CAREER SUPPORT TASTER – sample 4 ways of providing career support

If you are responsible for giving career advice to others or for trying to help larger groups of people to move their careers forward - either through a talent programme or coming off of a Graduate programme, then this is for you!  We will be going through a number of practical tools that will make a big difference to the success that other have based on your advice.  If you find that your time is constantly consumed with career conversations, you can find out ways to get more productive results, more quickly.  You will also find that by applying some of our techniques that the people you are helping are more likely to take self-directed action.

  • Career Conversations – How can you shift attitudes to get people taking self-directed career action like high fliers do? Find out how HR can hold focused career conversations in which they add a lot of value in 30-60 minutes, sending people away with new insights and the practical tools they need to advance their own career.  
  • Career Workshops. If you need to provide career support to a number of people across the organisation, career workshops can be the answer.  How does career support differ for graduates, established professionals and managers, and very senior managers? How can you assess the quality of a career workshop, when comparing different suppliers? Find out the results of our hard research into what REALLY works – the career tactics of people who have successful careers.
  • Career Conferences.  How can you provide career help to large groups?  How can you help people find personal direction, communicate their motivation and career skills to others, and understand the tactics required to drive a successful internal career?  How can you work with graduates in large groups to help them launch very individual careers?
  • What’s the role of personal impact?  Can people really develop instant credibility by the way they dress and act?  Ex-Marketing Director Sarah Setterfield will show exactly how people can enhance their career prospects by honing their personal impact.
